Dr. Tesler has spent a large part of his medical career wearing many hats. He originally entered medicine as a Registered Nurse working in Critical Care, Trauma, Medical ICU and Cardiovascular Care. He later spent time with Gift of Life Michigan as a Donation Coordinator working with families and donors participating in tissue and organ donation. Craving more knowledge he returned to his education and finished his M.D. at Michigan State University and then completed Residency at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. Dr. Tesler also is a passionate advocate for women's and LGBTQI health and medicine. He is also known as "Paging Dr. Rainbow", which he travels and educates on LGBTQI and healthcare of marginalized groups.
