Dr. Sasso graduated as valedictorian at Seton Hall University with a bachelor’s degree in biology, and is a graduate of Duke University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Utah Medical Center. Dr. Sasso also completed a one- year fellowship in reproductive surgery and infertility in Miami Beach, Florida at Mt. Sinai Hospital.  Before transitioning into medical education, Dr. Sasso dedicated the last 15 years of his clinical career, in New England, to advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery and infertility. Dr. Sasso then joined Ross University School of Medicine in March 2012, where he quickly transferred his clinical skills and previous teaching experience to medical education through high fidelity simulation and small group education. At Ross, he served as Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Clinical Medicine, as well as Director of Medical Simulation. Dr. Sasso trained at Harvard University in simulation education and simulation debriefing techniques.
